You'd better be here before 6 p.m. on the weekends, that's for sure. Gios Italian Kitchen is located in Pawleys Island and is a hot spot for elegant dinners! I highly recommend the Pesca Del Mar (pictured above)! Scallops, lobster claw meat and mussels are served over linguini in your choice of a red or white sauce. As you can see, it's a plentiful portion. I also recommend the Mare e Monte. You get a six ounce New York Strip with scallops and lobster claw meat over pomodoro sauce. Both dishes were really fresh and flavorful. See more of what was enjoyed below! In August of 2014, Gios Italian Kitchen had new owners. A family saw huge potential in the restaurant and decided to make their life-long passion a reality. Chefs/brothers Renato and Klodian run the kitchen while sister Erjola manages the front of the house. And how about their pizzas? Let’s start with the pizzas, which are cooked at 600 degrees on their brick deck oven. The list features standards like the Margherita and White Pizzas, but is also packed with original combinations like the French Connection (olive oil base, fig Dijon jam, brie, mozzarella, shaved ham), Forest Pizza (olive oil base, wild Portobello and button mushrooms, herbed goat cheese, mixed greens), and Gio’s Fave (tomato base, hot sopressata, sun-dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, spicy olive oil, parsley). Pizzas are available in Large or Individual sizes, and can also be made into Calzones and Strombolis. So far, there's been nothing but great reviews. The dishes are very appealing to the eye, usually the decider in whether to eat or not. They are located at 10008 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island.
