You've probably seen the new signage where Woodland Creek Grille was before they closed. Well, it's another restaurant that'll soon be opening up, with familiar faces at the forefront.
The Inlet Provision Company will be opened shortly after Valentine's Day 2019 by Cyndi Moran and husband-and-wife team of Phillip and Kathy Bates. The trio own and operate Hot Fish Club and have done so for more than seven years.
It is located at 4891 Highway 17 Business, next door to the Hot Fish Club.
Here's a little about what they plan to offer.
“Good Food and Bad Advice.” Such is the motto for this one-of-a-kind restaurant that’s in the planning stages as we go to press. Located beside Hot Fish Club on the southern end of Murrells Inlet, it’s owned and operated by the HFC family – but it’s a totally different experience. The menu is quirky, to say the least, with a focus on affordability – most items run between $4 and $12 – and fresh, locally sourced meats, seafood and produce whenever possible. The team is still working out the particulars, but the choices are definitely different and change frequently to keep things interesting.
The menu can be found here.
We wish the trio the best with the new restaurant and urge everyone to try it when they officially open.
When you begin cooking for staff to train them on the menu, you know a restaurant is close to opening.
And on November 19th, Sol Cocina Mexicana plans to do just that!
Located at 12036 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island, they are going to bring the building back to life that previously housed Ship's Pub.
Chef Armando Cobian and his wife, Pastry Chef Esmeralda, begin a journey in owning and operating their culinary creation Monday, however, they invited their staff to taste the menu to learn the flavors and how to sell it for three days straight.
We were there yesterday to capture the exciting moments. What's being presented as a "twist of Mexican flavors" will surely please the diners who come in to enjoy what we did Saturday.
Below is a sampling of the dishes prepared and what you can expect from Sol Cocina Mexicana when they open. The menu is below, too.

It didn't take long for another restaurant to fill the space left when Belle Isle Marina Bar and Grill closed.
Milligan's at Belle Isle is owned by David Milligan, who jumped at the opportunity to present a unique menu to customers hoping they'd not have to wait long for another eatery at the marina.
David is a down-to-earth guy. He exemplifies a personable approach to patrons and pays attention to detail. His chef, Justin, has trained and cooked around the world. And with fresh ingredients from Murrells Inlet, Charleston and Georgetown, they want people to know they are locals supporting locals and care about what goes into their dishes.
Take a look below at the menu and some of what is offered. You will thank yourself repeatedly for trying this place!
