The Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce will host a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for Yagi Sushi and Hibachi, located at 47-A Da Gullah Way in Pawleys Island, S.C. The ceremony will start at 12 p.m. The ceremony is free to Chamber members, but everyone is invited to dine in for lunch. Click the button below for details. The building at 809 Front Street has new owners and a new look. The former Front Street Deli has become Fast & Fresh Soups Salads Sandwiches with the recent retirement of Andy and Michele Giarratano. More than 25 people braved the cold evening to join in the celebration hosted by the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. Not only did the guests get to sample some tasty offerings, they also heard from Metcalfe his plans to open a second restaurant in the previous location. It'll be a tex-mex flavorful explosion. The restaurant featured today has a 120-seat event center that can host all of your holiday festivities. Incredible Edibles has been "crafting one-of-a-kind, delicious special event, groom's and wedding cakes" for more than 20 years in Pawleys Island, S.C. Southern Comforts is moving to the Hammock Shops and changing up to SoCo's Southern Dining & Seafood Shack serving our same great Southern food with a good old seafood shack feel. We will be dishing up as much local seafood as we can find and frying the buttermilk chicken that you know best. Visit our SoCo's Cakes & Coffee from 9 until 9 . Book your special occasion in our special event center overlooking the Gazebo. All of this in the middle of the Hammock Shops opening in early July. Oh and don't forget the live music in the Gazebo on Saturday nights every weekend, Just like the Good Old days
After the move, Southern Comforts plans to open a Tex-Mex themed "Baja Grille" in the former location.
