You're right. This post is showcasing something outside of Georgetown. But, hey, how many people dedicate their time to seeing McClellanville eateries get the exposure they deserve?

I wanted to introduce you to Krazy K's BBQ Sauce, a family-owned, family-oriented business that grew from something they loved doing!
Krazy K’s started off as a hobby, cooking for family gatherings and close friends. With great feedback, encouragement, and support, Krazy K decided to enter competitions. As he won several awards, it was quick to notice that he had to produce his barbeque sauce in a way that everyone could enjoy it. Krazy K’s LLC was created in 2010 with the love for family, passion in cooking, the determination to make others happy, and of course, the mouthwatering magic of Krazy K’s barbeque sauces.

This family is originally from Georgetown and barbeque has been their whole life.
The roots of Krazy K’s started way back in 1968, when a local South Carolina boy, from Georgetown, SC named Macajiah Williams Jr., also known as Krazy K, was only seven years old learning how to cook whole hogs with his father in the backyard. Together, they would slow cook hogs over a concrete block pit with a plywood top, using blackjack oak coals from a burn barrel. The two would cook a special barbeque sauce, and of course, each had their own opinion on how the concoction should be prepared. This is where the love for making barbeque sauce developed within Krazy K. Krazy K began experimenting with his father’s favorite barbeque sauce until he perfected his own secret sauce, Krazy K’s Original Barbeque Sauce.

And where did the name "Krazy K" originate from, you ask?
Krazy K’s LLC was named after Macajiah Williams Jr., owner of Krazy K’s LLC. His family and friends call him “K,” because, let’s be real, it’s much easier to pronounce than Macajiah, and ever since he was little, his siblings have always called him “crazy…” (you should really hear the stories) This is why he is now known as Krazy K.

Krazy K has a loving wife, Sheryl, also known as Mama Jean, who is the heart of the company. Together they have two beautiful daughters, Amber and Kacie. Macajiah’s family supports and loves him through all of his barbeque success and growing dreams.
Soon, I'll be tasting these sauces. I'll let you know just how "krazy" good they are!

Well, if you got tired of riding to Pawleys Island from the City of Georgetown for Moe's Original Bar B Que's tasty food, you now have one!

That's right! Located on 919 Front Street, Meg Lonon has opened another Moe's to satisfy the mouth-watering folks in city limits.

And, as the one in Pawleys Island, this BBQ does not disappoint.

My top picks for you are the Smoked Turkey Breast Sandwich - which is awesome with the Alabama white BBQ sauce, Shrimp Moe Boy, Wing Platter and the savory Pulled Pork Sandwich.

Do not forget the sides! The mac and cheese is to die for. So awesome. Love the cornbread. It's a must with the Smoked Pork Chili.

Fried Okra is yummy good.

The pricing matches the quality, so you know the food is excellent.

Go by and say hello, order some BBQ and tell'em we sent you!

Smoked Meats at Great Peedee Q

Let's see... Smoked pork, smoked brisket, smoked ribs, smoked sausage, smoked fish. Wait a minute. Smoked fish?

The smoked fish I had on the sampler app retained its natural fish flavor, but was enhanced by the hours-long smoking process. Look below. You might be weary, but trust me, all (and I mean ALL) the meats smoked here are superbly done!

Lee Prosser has a good thing going at Prosser's BBQ. A buffet that includes seafood along side their awesome pulled pork is not to be missed... or rushed.

The country feel inside warms you as walk in to be seated. And trust me, there are a lot of seats. Get there early, though, as those seats are filled quickly.

The food is fresh and flavorful. Even have bottled sauces available for purchase.

I always enjoy my visits here because my family feels like their family each and every single time.

Moe's Original Bar B Que- Pawleys Island, SC

Are you craving for that family get together with great BBQ that never ends? Well, they do have to close, but it feels like it never ends.

Meg Lonon and her husband have taken Pawleys Island by storm with their BBQ joint. The tried-and-true BBQ Moe's known for is here. That's for sure. But, added are the oyster roasts and crawfish boils. Makes my mouth water just writing about it.

They've recently updated and expanded their outside patio area and have bands play frequently.

Again, when you show up here you're part of the family. Your stomach, ears and soul will wish it really did never end.

Bill and Sandra Blake are always doing something with pork... and they're doing it well. They're smoking it!

I love the location, the dining room and the buffet setup. Corn on the cob, sausage, mac and cheese and yes, pulled pork! Oh, they have dessert, too.

The waitresses are attentive to detail. If you're a fast drinker, ask for the "big" cup! Trust me.
